About Vorbis Media Codec:
Media Codec that add Vorbis support to BeOS applications that use BeOS media codecs
This package contain the necessay shared libraries to add Vorbis support
to any BeOS program that uses BeOs Media Codec's. The codec's are based on
unpublished headers and will almost certainly will not work with any other
release of BeOS except R5 and its point releases. Running any program that
uses this codec's from the commandline will have messages to this effect printed
to stderr.
They are based around a shared library version of the Vorbis libraries (see
www.xiph.org) which are released under the LGPL, a copy of which is included
in the archive. Source for the libraries are available from www.xiph.org,
and should be linked from the bebits webpage you should have downloaded this
package from. To compile the libraries as a shared library you will need the
Vorbis source and the BeIDE project contained in this package. Place the
project at the same level as the main vorbis directory and compile.
Please let me know if you have any problems, or any sucesses. The codec's
appear to work with SoundRecorder, Mediaplayer, VorbisEncoder (now It can
encode Vorbis files as Vorbis files :-) and MediaConverter.
