About Tracker.NewFS:
This is a modified version of OpenTracker. The filesystem operations are totally rewritten with lots of new features and with dramatic speed increase.
Core engine:
* multithreaded, triple buffered copy routine when it's working on two devices (well increased copy speed with decent drives and big files; I reached 21 MB/sec)
* every single system call that may fail is checked and is retryable (no more space and only 10k is left from a 2gigs file? you may hit retry after you made some space)
* when running out of space you may instruct the engine to automatically delete files from the Trash in the order of time spent in Trash
* great flexibility when problems occur (like switching to copy the link targets instead of the links themselves on fat volumes, or the possibility to replace, make unique name, or move to trash or specify name of both files in the case of a name collision; you may append and continue files, or enter conflicting directories and go on)
* you may skip entries/whole directories in case of an alert, or by pressing shift/command and the skip button in the status window
* if the directory was created by the runing operation then it's completly removed, if we are merging together two directories then the file being copied is finished first
* it's possible to manually skip the preflight scan (when scanning total size; ever tried to copy a few thousand files from a cdrom? :)
* DynamicFiltering: Incremental filtering useing the Locationbar (/boot/home/mp3s/*sometitle)
* StaticFiltering (always filtering out all files starting with a "." for example (POSIX))
* "Home Button" with choosable home path
* Undo/Redo feature for all operations
Dialog Window:
* keyboard + mouse wheel navigable
* you may force automatic answering with a checkbox (switchable with Command + Space)
* closing the window cancels the operation
Status Window:
* estimated time display
* progress is displayed with numbers (file count and size)
* skip button to skip preflight scan/skip a file/skip a directory

Variation description:
Warning: This is a Beta version of Tracker.NewFS. As such it may and probably will contain many bugs. It works stable here, but it may crash on your system. If it does so, please send a complete bug-report with as much information as possible.
It should be mostly stable and should not cause any dataloss, but you use it completely at your own risk!
Details about this version:
Version Beta 7c is a bugfix release for people that encountered missing / failing add-ons or strange system behaviour with the last release. Updating is recommended.
This version is binary compatible with newer BeOS versions. This means you can install this same package on R5 and up (Dano for example).
Changes in Beta 7:
* Added a hotkey to the location field. You can abort a change or reset after filtering with escape now
* Automatic SVG-Icon support if you have the SVGTranslator installed
* As requested once, the FilePanel for relinking a broken symlink will open at it's previous target's parent folder if possible
* Thumbnails are now saved as zipped attributes. I decided to use zip mainly because of transparency issues with most stock translators
* If the creation of a thumbnail fails because the translator crashs and takes down the tracker with it, creation won't be attempted anymore
* Fixed locking issue that caused wrong sized icons to appear
* Hopefully fixed crashing bug when closing windows
* Theming support. The engine supports scalable and raster themes (SVG and PNG for example), see http://newfs.mlotz.ch/ for more info
* Fixed old bug with hanging Deskbar/DiskProbe when opening "Recent..." menus
* Fixed bug that no names were shown in Favorites config (also fixes Deskbar's "Configure Be Menu")
* The viewstate of the Desktop is now saved independantly. The iconsize set is now preserved across restarts

Details about this version:
I would like to apologize for the last release. It was really buggy and not well enough tested. At least I got some useful feedback (thanks!) and most of the "easier" things to fix are now included in this release, which should be stable, clean and usable again.
Changes in 2.9:
* Cut / Copy of files to clipboard preserves selection
* Fixed that really ugly bug with volumes, "Disks"-icon and the not-hidden-system-folders in the root
* Fixed problems with wrong backgrounds when switching directories
* Fixed problem when renameing a file to the name of an existing file and hitting "Replace other file"
* Fixed Cut / Copy / Paste shortcuts while editing filenames and locationbar
* Fixed more missing symbol's by providing a more OpenTracker compatible libtracker
* Desktop is now visible in the /home of the Filepanel when "File Panel Root is Desktop" is disabled
* Holding down Shift while selecting a folder from a contextmenu open's a new Containerwindow even if there is allready an open instance of the selected folder
