About ejectdisk:
Unmount and eject removable volumes via command line.
The code provided, when compiled, will unmount all volumes on a disk and then eject the disk. This makes it easy to eject media via command line instead of having to go to the Desktop or DriveSetup. For example you can create utilities to unmount and eject your floppy, CD, Zip, LS120, etc.
"Why did you write this program, can't I just use the eject command?"
That's a good question, because this app does seem to do the exact same thing as eject. However I found that with my LS120 drive the eject command would not unmount the volumes from the disk before attempting to eject the disk. Of course the disk eject would then fail. For some reason CD's are automatically unmounted before ejecting, but not my LS120. Perhaps this is because the LS120 disk is formatted as a BFS volume, and eject isn't programmed correctly for this situation. Whatever the reason, it was annoying and I wanted to fix it so I wrote this app which does unmount all volumes of any removable disk before ejecting. Other people with LS120 drives, Zip drives, or other removable media may have the same problem, so hopefully this will be a solution until eject is fixed.
