About Spinning Teapot... NOT!!!:
This CLI utility reads 3D Studio files and spits out the data in a format that is compatible with the infamous teapot demo app, GLTeapot. This is a derivative of some of the work I had done for the Be3D team as well as for another 3D program I've been developing for another platform. (Hey, I gotta eat...)
Please Take Note Before Installation:
The teapot demo is hard-coded to look for its data in the following file:
/boot/beos/etc/teapot.data
3ds2tea will overwrite this file, so you should be sure to back it up before running the utility. (Now you know WHY it's called a readme file...) If you forgot, I've included a copy of the original teapot data file, just in case.
To restore the demo to its original glory, just drop it into the symlink.
Usage:
1. From the terminal, 3ds2tea [3D Studio file]
2. Watch the teapot demo start without a Teapot.
3. Enjoy.
