About Terazzo:
Nifty screen saver offering realtime Terazzo effect.
Inspired by the Photoshop Plugin of the same name, Terazzo creates kaleidoscope-like realtime graphics - a nice-looking effect you can watch for hours without getting bored.

written for MS DOS using Borland C++, adapted to DJGPP, ported to Visual C++ under MS-Windows and now
recoded as a BeOS screen saver. Kernel routines were
implemented using assembler, but had to be rewritten using C
to support high colour and true colour bit depths (may be
I will code it again using assembler, but inline assembler
under GCC is quite a pain). Now it requires approximately
a Celeron 300 (at least it runs smoothly with my Celeron 400 at 1152x864x16).
Special feature:
-
choose between two effect modes - first effect is the real
terazzo effect, the second one was actually a bug, but it
looks much nicer :)

doesn't consume processing power when screen is off (standard screen savers always render, even if you cannot see it)

this toy and for spending nice hours coding the original DOS demo.
