About SkyORB:
SkyORB computes sun, moon and majors planets rise and set time and positions from any place in the world, renders local and a realtime 3D rendering view of space with the majors planets is available.
- renders local sky with up to 18000 stars (HYG Database Mag 7) in real time and constellation charts and stars names.
- can detect solar / lunar eclipse, solstice and equinoxes days, renders sun clock, orbits view (in false scale) or real view (using real physics / orbital parameters for distance and planets dimensions)
- IMPORTANT NOTES: for x86 platform, a Pentium Pro / MMX or Pentium II is required (because application uses assembler Pentium Pro and MMX instructions). else the program WON'T RUN. Pentium III/IV and Athlon are detected and additional routines will be used.
- SkyORB was formerly named skytools VR but was renammed due to copyright issues with an already existing product.
