About Auvia driver for Via VT82xx:
Auvia is a multiaudio driver for the Via VT82C686, VT8233/8235 southbridges (Via AC97)
It supports boards based on the VT82C686 and VT8233/8235 chipsets.
Features :
- Playback and record
- AC97 mixer controls, recording selection
- Tested with the alpha 5 multiaudio media addon, an Asus K7V (VT82C686B), a MSI KT3 (VT8235)
Playing with Soundplay/CLAmp, Recording with SoundRecorder/ SoundPlay Input plugin, Cortex.
The LATEST Multiaudio MediaAddon is REQUIRED for better experience (see related links below). Please report your experience (success and fail) with your card model.
The driver is known to work with the following motherboards :
- Asus K7V
- MSI 694D Pro
- MSI KT3
- Epox 8KHA+
- Shuttle AK32
- Gigabyte GA-7VAXP Ultra
- Asus A7V8X
- Gigabyte GA-7VKML
- Gigabyte GA-7ZX
- Shuttle SK41G
Note on the audio quality : It seems the audio mixer included in BeOSR5 is not good at samplerate conversion 44khz - 48 khz. In Dano there are several conversion methods which fix this problem.

Details about this version:
Alpha 2 release. Binary only.
Includes an install script (Works on Dano). It handles the move of the original driver (MVP4) for uninstall and places the driver in your home driver directory.
Tested on BeOSR5 with the alpha 5 version of the Multiaudio MediaAddon, an Asus K7V (Via VT82C686) and a MSI KT3 (Via VT8235).
