About Tux Paint:
A simple and entertaining drawing program for young children (ages 2.5 and up). Released as free, Open Source software, and translated into over 20 spoken languages.
Tux Paint is a drawing program for young children (ages 2.5 and up). Kids will enjoy the simple interface, fun sound effects, and easy-to-use tools, like one-click Saving. Parents will appreciate options that help make Tux Paint more suitable to their child's needs (such as only displaying uppercase text, simplifying tools, and disabling the Print button).
Tux Paint includes drawing tools like Brush, Lines, Shape, Text and Eraser. A collection of 'Magic' tools provide some special effects and filters. A collection of 'Rubber Stamp' images can be loaded, allowing kids to paste cartoon shapes and photographic images into their drawings. Multiple levels of undo and redo are available, too.
Tux Paint is free, Open Source software. Along with BeOS, it also runs under Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and other Unixes. Tux Paint has been translated into over 2 dozen languages, including Spanish, French, German, Italian, Chinese and Korean, to name a few!
