About ArmadaESS1869:
This is an audio device driver for the Compaq Armada 17xx series of notebooks. The audio card on these notebooks is based on the ESS 1869 chipset, but none of the previous ESS drivers works on the Armadas. THIS one does! At last, glorious sound from the Armada!
This driver is not optimized and is imperfect in many ways. Please view the README FIRST file for more information. Please note this has NOT been verified to work under anything other than BeOS 5.0.3!
