About RAMspeed:
Time flies, and RAMspeed, a free open-source command-line utility to measure cache & memory performance of computer systems, changes as well.
From v1.00, released in November of 2002 as a result of my personal amusement containing about 100 lines of C code within one simple benchmark, to the latest versions with assembly optimisations on 3 processor architectures (i386, alpha, amd64). Now there are 8 benchmarks, not counting subtests...
