About n505ve_audio driver:
Audio driver for Sony N505VE laptops
There is currently no publicly available documentation for the N505VE's Yamaha YMF-744B sound chip. Until such documentation becomes available, and a driver released that makes use of it, this driver will help fill the gap, supporting 44kHz 8bit stereo playback using the YMF-744B's legacy Sound Blaster emulation.
