If you encounter a bug using the Zeta version, please try to duplicate the problem using the more conservative BONE build.

ATTENTION: Minefield Development is essentially dead for the foreseeable future. Minefield trunk code requires GCC 4 and dependences not currently buildable under BeOS/Zeta. The version below represents the "end of the line" for Minefield 3.0. Current development efforts are focused on cleanup and enhancement of the Firefox 2.0 branch.

This build has known problems. Don't even think about downloading it if you like a nice, stable browser - try the Firefox 2.0 RC below. Built from current Minefield trunk, the Bezilla team is posting this to ask for help in verifying observed bugs. Specifically:
Browser crashes on startup about 1 time in 3.
Browser sometimes "freezes" - becomes completely unresponsive such that no buttons work and the window stops refreshing/repainting.
Please document all bugs, crashes, etc. with the OS version in use (for example, R5.0.3, BONE 5.0.4, Zeta 1.1, 1.21, etc.) and place detailed comments either in talkback or in the Bezilla blog (see link below). We are especially interested to learn if you do not experience these problems, as some on the team suspect they may be due to interaction with specific versions of BeOS.

Huge changes to the trunk with lots of changes to Firefox as the Bleeding Edge moves into its next phase of life. Many new feature and changes to user interface, including Places, Addons (combining Themes and Extensions), changes to the search bar and the addition of spell-checking to text entry. And get this: Firefox now takes scroll-arrow style from BeOS: double-arrows if the desktop is configured this way.
Major changes to implementation, as Firefox becomes more and more multithreaded. Good news for us: the application is catching up to where BeOS was 10 years ago. This has potential for more performance improvements in the future.
In addition to all the trunk changes, this version includes many patches to allow us to build:
