So there's an application you'd like to see on BeBits, eh?
If you are the owner or developer of this application...
Before you can submit an application, you need to become a registered BeBits developer.
The process is fairly painless; just enter your email address (kept private, of course), and the system will mail you a temporary password. Then you can login, and you can go ahead and submit your application! Simple.
All of this is done from BeBits Developer Central, which is accessible from any page on the site. It's the second link in the black links bar at the top of the page, cleverly labeled "Dev Central." Now go
to it!
If you are not the owner or developer of this application...
This probably won't be the answer you're hoping for, but getting a given application listed on BeBits isn't up to us!
We can't actually add applications to BeBits ourselves; for the moment, we leave that up to the person or company who developed and/or published the application (although we are working on an alternative.) There are a number of reasons for this, but the most important reasons are time and accuracy.
If we had to do everything ourselves, we would miss important details and everything would go out of date really fast. It's a better solution all around to have the developers do it.
So what can you do if you'd like to see an application listed? Find out who wrote it or is responsible for it, email that person, and ask them to submit the application to BeBits.
A few users have done this already, and we've found that when the users of BeBits are the ones asking, developers are much more likely to submit their apps and keep them up to date than if it had been us asking. It lets them know that you care and that i
t's worth their time to get their apps listed on BeBits.
So go ahead and ask... you'll help make the site better for everyone!
