I know this is off topic, but wanted to know if anyone got a copy a Digital Tracker they wish to sell to me? I've tried numerous times to contact the developers to purchase this software. Please mail me directly , emile@fvc.co.za

Thanks,

Anyone know how to get it registered??

The registration page on Dr Sync's site says it will be unavailable until June or July or something like that, but that was a year ago... I emailed him via his email link on his site and got no reply. I'd like to get the last version released for both BeOS and Windows but I can't find a way to do so. Any ideas??

it's fast in windows, too

my one gripe with this is that it becomes unusual when routed through cortex to different outs on my ADAT card. unlike r2m and objektsynth, sync adds seconds of latency when i route it through anything but the default outs. i don't know what the cause is, and since dr sync isn't developing it anymore, i guess i never shall.

nonetheless, sync modular is excellent and an essential component of my production setup. some of the really intense, CPU-chewer ensembles, like "morphine", are the main reasons i keep this dual pIII box in my studio. i'll see you on the sync mailing list, jace.

Best software synth I've encountered yet!

This thing is FAST! I detect no latency between keypress (MIDI) and playing of notes. I have not encountered any note limits yet, either (I'm not playing super fast and furious, but this is still better than anything else I've ever tried). I'm running only 500MHz and this synth is way better than any other synth, commercial or not, that I've tried so far. Maybe this has to do with it being in BeOS, I don't know.

It's a shame this thing isn't being developed any more, but at least it is still for sale and $50 isn't a bad deal at all. It's actually kind of surprising. Even if you don't end up programming your own synths, there's lots to do with the available patches (found on the author's site and others).

Totally Kick-Butt Awesome!
