I've been using this patch for over a year now, but a few months ago I started getting KDL shortly after it booted, rendering my BeOS partition useless. I haven't had the time to check it out until recently. I found that it was the patched ethernet driver that was causing the problem.
So now I either have to figure out what went wrong (possibly a setting somewhere) or hope that a reinstall will solve the issue.
Just wanted to check if anyone else has been having issues with it, either crashing net_server or crashing bone.
I hope to get it solved soon so that I can finish off my BeOS projects and release them.

I was very happy to find this patch works with with the RTL8139 drivers included in BeOS 5 PE Max Edition V3. I have a maching with three DFE-538TX network cards, and after installing the patch they all show up in the network preferences dialog. Thanks a lot for the patch!

Is there anything I can do to help make this work with other revisions of the DFE-538TX (which, it appears, I am unfortuneate enough to own)?

You say you have a 530-TX - it may become a usefull realization to note this patch is for a 538-TX.

maybe i'm doing something wrong, but it just doesn't work, i have the 530TX+, i get just as much from this patch as i had before it; nothing.
