Arpeggio...

Afraid not. I've thought of writing one a few times, but it's never been urgent enough (:-/) (And I've felt that it might be a bit too mechanical -- exact rhythm and all notes the same length. I suppose one could add in some randomness.)

Currently I'm trying to mimic Pachet's "Continuator" that learns from input sequences and continues playing in that 'style'. So far it isn't too bad on the note sequences, but rhythm is killing me!

arpeggio

About talkback / discussion, is the new Haiku-os site something?

Sorry about the backslashes...

I do not know what BeBits is doing to me, but it seems to be inserting countless backslashes before each apostrophe in my updated posting! If this makes it unreadable, I apologize...

Awsome

As soon as I get another midi keyboard, I'm going to put this to test!

The more music/video apps the better!

The future

Thanks for your responses, folks. As I sort of indicated in the version notes, I'm sure that I'll continue to work on the MusicWeaver for my own use. The problem is that unless I have some feedback from others that they are using it, and what they might do with it if it had this or that feature, it *will* be tailored only for me! And *I* don't need documentation... (:-/)

As to a new sequencer for BeOS, I do quite like Sequitur, but it does certainly have deficiencies. Talkback is not very convenient for discussion. Any chance of kicking some life back into comp.sys.be.misc on usenet or somewhere? (:-)) Or there's the 'GreenBoard' right here, which seems equally comatose.

Stuff!

I've not tried this app yet either; looks interesting, and I hope you continue to develop it.
As The_Raven said, BeOS / Haiku desperately needs some more audio and MIDI apps.

A long-term project of mine is developing a MIDI sequencer for BeOS; it's still in the design phase right now.
I'm open to suggestions regarding required features, UI design, etc.; that'd be invaluable to help avoid feature creep.
Are there any potential users still out there?

YES

@The_Raven:
that's the point.

Well, it's not only you!

You said you suspect that this is the last release. I surely hope you'll continue developing this application, even though i haven't tried it yet. BeOS and Haiku needs a good MIDI suite, BeOS was the media OS, what good is a media OS without media apps?

Ha! I see it's only me and you ; )

But already using it and not (completely) satisfied. Eric did a great job but there are some glitches and bad design IHMO. Too bad Eric is in his "windows cycle", sorry Eric :)

I dunno but when I see the 'awaiting 10 votes' and 'talkback 0' I get this 'is BeOS sw worthless or are the users?'

I think the latter... : (

I was looking for a sequencer btw
