first, great work on 0.3. My pc's been very busy since its release ;)
Is it possible to determine (and notify the user) if an instances download rate is being choked by the max upload rate?
Also if that is possible, would it be possible to dynamically alter the max upload rate based on how much the download rate would increase/decrease?
eg, having a value of 2 or 3 for "-u" as default. when Transmission determines that the value for -u is preventing greater download speeds, it increases the max upload rate until either a "ABSOLUTE_MAX_UPLOAD_RATE" is reached or the max download rate is reached.
Also, just thought of this...
lets say a user is running several instances of transmission and they have a limited upload bandwith.
I'd love for all instances of Transmission to be able to communicate with each other and inquiry about their upload rates and adjust their rates accordingly. eg, instance #2 and #3 are idling due to inactivity of peer s and therefore instance #1 has more resources available and increases it's upload rate (at least until instances #2, #3, ... require them back).
once again, great work :)

You can kind of fake a GUI for it (or at least make it less command-liney) with ZooKeeper - http://bebits.com/app/1963

"After a reboot I restarted the download and transmissioncli crashes while resuming this download."
If this happens again, can you please get a backtrace for me?
"would be nice if you could also limit the number of downloads"
Right, and I might set a lower default value for the net_server build.
"Here is what the debugger says, when transmissioncli crashes:"
This does not really help, you need to enter 'sc' in the debugger to get a full backtrace.

A user guide might come later, I believe it simple enough now not to really need documentation (--help quite says it all)

Here is what the debugger says, when transmissioncli crashes:

Hope this helps you somehow...

Hi,
I tried to download a 80MB file, but the netserver crashed after downloading about 90% of the file. After a reboot I restarted the download and transmissioncli crashes while resuming this download.
So I removed the file and completely restarted the download...hope it works this time...
By the way...would be nice if you could also limit the number of downloads (netserver really sucks a lot of cpu-power when transmissioncli is connected to more than lets say 10 hosts)
