quick and dirty, maybe, but useful. works here in BONE. BONEYard prefs panel crashes when attempting to restart networking. Click to close the window after making changes and say "yes" when it asks to save changes.

Any chance this driver could be added to the Haiku network drivers?

michael_s said that it worked fine on Dano -- I can't get it to do so. I have a DSL modem and an nForce ethernet controller. I set my IP address (192.168.254.1) and can't ping my DSL modem (192.168.254.254).

Works perfectly in PhOSb5 with DHCP! The nForce2 mainboard has a Realtek 8201BL Fast Ethernet network controller.

Works also on ASUS K8N

For those who have problems with DHCP in Zeta try the "DHCP Update": (http://www.yellowtab.com/downloads/index.php?cat_id=2)

I have not tested it, so I cant say if this fixes your problems.

NForce4 works great

My nforce4 (Marvell 88E1111 PHY) works very well with DHCP.
Just one problem, my ethernet controller is a bridge device, not a "ethernet card" (listdev reports class = 0x06, subclass = 0x80]).
So, you need to add this in the init_driver function for the next release : (dev_info.class_base == PCI_bridge) && (dev_info.class_sub == PCI_network_other).

Thank you for your good job.

In next version update, a slow and clean port would be more usefull.

Drivers such as this being ported to ZETA. yT should give you a copy of the OS for performing this service.

Great

A very necessary addition to the BeOS world. When I get around to forcing my R5 installation to work on this machine, I'll be very sure to give the driver a try.

Finally. A lot of people have been waiting for this. Great work.

I myself initially had to get a DEC 21040 card (even though I also have an nForce2), and now use wireless network card via NDIS instead, but it's great to see that the nForce2 card will also be supported. This will be great for Haiku once that's ready, since there are an amazing number of nForce motherboards out there...
